Amanda Morfinos | Mama In Trades

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’ve been a graphic designer and content creator for over 10 years now, and it’s been an exciting and creative journey.

The Early Days…

My career began with a company that specialized custom manufacturing of products from furniture, to restaurant and retail build-outs, woodworking, blacksmithing and fabrication shop.

Working at a company like that I am sure you can imagine how I gained wide variety of skills in blue collar trades; CAD/CAM Skills, Machine Operator and Programmer for CNC Routers, Plasma Cutters and Lasers. Designer, Welder, Fabricator, Woodworking, and I even picked up some Blacksmithing Skills.

I became a “Jill” of all Trades…

This gave me an incredible foundation, allowing me to work with intricate designs, precision artwork, and specialized tools that enhanced my technical abilities in the field.

After 5 years, life took a change in directions and shifted my focus to Programming Machines for a large scale company. I was drawing and programming (CAD/CAM) for a much larger fabrication shop in South Carolina that did fabrication services for Electrical Companies, Major Manufacturing Companies and our Military.

But, I was Missing Something…

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to broaden my expertise far beyond manufacturing and job shops and found a huge creative passion for design evolve.

I expanded into content creation, graphic design for t-shirts, and various business marketing materials. I’ve had the privilege of helping businesses and individuals bring their vision to life through creative marketing campaigns, custom apparel designs, and branding that truly resonates with their audience. I now own multiple businesses for Graphic Design and Started my own CNC Router / Laser Company.

As a business owner myself, I understand the challenges and demands of entrepreneurship, which has given me a unique perspective on the type of design work and marketing content that resonates most with both businesses and their customers. Today, I own and operate two businesses: a Laser/CNC business and a clothing line, both of which allow me to channel my creative energy into work that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

Creating graphics for t-shirts became a fun and rewarding outlet for my creativity, particularly when I developed my own line of blue-collar-inspired graphic t-shirts. As someone deeply connected to the blue-collar lifestyle, I found it essential to reflect the strength, pride, and grit of that community in my designs. It’s more than just apparel for me; it’s a way to celebrate hardworking individuals through meaningful and relatable visuals.

Alongside my work in t-shirts, I’ve been deeply involved in helping small businesses and local companies enhance their brand presence through various marketing efforts. From logo designs to promotional materials, and digital content creation, I enjoy the process of crafting unique identities and helping businesses tell their story in a way that captures their essence.

Throughout my career, one of the key aspects that has driven me forward is my desire to continuously learn and evolve. I’ve always been passionate about diving into new tools and techniques, from CNC machinery and Laser technology to digital marketing strategies, ensuring that I stay on top of the latest trends in the industry.

I’ve also ventured into helping churches and local organizations with social media marketing, offering specialized graphic design, content creation, and marketing content services. Whether it’s developing powerful imagery for faith-based outreach or crafting content that speaks to a community, I love working on projects that make an impact.

Through my Blog and Social Channels, I am able to share my journey as a wife, mother, business owner, and designer, offering tips and inspiration for others who are navigating the complexities of running multiple business while juggling family life. I hope to connect with and inspire other women who are pursuing their own passions, especially those in trades and entrepreneurship.
